Specialising in both newbuild and refurbishment, our client is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team in Edinburgh. This role will focus on projects up to £20 million within the vibrant city centre.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in the financial management of construction projects. You will ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget, maintaining the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed cost analysis and reporting for projects up to £20 million
- Manage the preparation and evaluation of tender documents and contracts
- Oversee the measurement and valuation of works, ensuring accurate costings
- Collaborate with project managers and design teams to optimise project outcomes
- Provide cost and procurement advice to clients and stakeholders
- Monitor project expenditures and resolve any financial discrepancies
- Lead and mentor junior surveying staff, fostering a culture of excellence.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Proficiency in cost management software and MS Office suite
- Chartered status with RICS or equivalent is preferred
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
